Pav’s Organic and Allergy Bakery Saillake Pty Ltd was established in 1988. Owned by Marcus Pavlakis, the company owns a licence to produce and distribute products made from concentrates supplied by Pav's Organic & Allergy Products in Australia.
Additionally the company is a distributor for a range of other baked goods including pastries, pies and cakes etc. These products are supplied by Pav's Organic and Allergy Products.
From the concentrates supplied, the company is able to produce a wide range of products including:
- Organic no salt Bread (Contains Wheat )
- Yeast free breads ( Contains Wheat )
- A wide range of bread – rolls etc which may be wheat, gluten, soya, milk, egg or yeast free.
- Lo – Protein Bread and Rolls (less than 0.1%)
- Muffins, Biscuits and Waffles
- Savoury and fruit bread and rolls
The company operates from their premises at Ingleburn Factory. Customers are encouraged to visit and sample the products on Market day, held every Sunday from 9.00am – 12.00pm.
Although Pav's Organic Allergy Products was only established in 1992, John and Sandra Pavlakis (The owners) have operated since 1970 as ‘Pavs Place’.
During this period ‘the Pavs’ produced a wide range of regular bakery products as well as allergy specialities. John Pavlakis (Pav to his friends and customers) has been in the baking industry for over 50 years.
His technical and practical skills are well-documented in magazine articles locally and all over the world. John has worked for technical departments in bread Companies throughout Australia, developing some items still being made to recipe & purchased today. Pav's modern thinking in the 60’s is still practised today within general bread circles here and overseas.
During the 70’s Pav’s built a modern bread factory servicing some 14 Bread Shops and employing approx 50 staff in Nowra, John was also President in the Independent Bread Association of NSW.
John won many awards for his bread and cake skills, including 3 successive International Trade Catering Fairs. In the local bread shows, ‘Pav’ was unbeaten in making crusty bread that won Gold medals in a number of Royal Easter Shows.
John Pavlakis also lectured to hospitals, colleges, schools & government officials around Australia. John Pavlakis was hired by many companies to develop products and/or change products to meet higher standards and increase profits. Pav helped many people to reach their goals in baking careers - some now leading Technical Managers of the bread industry.
It wasn’t until the 1980’s that improvements in ingredients allowed alternative grains to be used to make specialised products for people with unique dietary needs.
After extensive experiments ‘Pav’ produced products which were a major improvement to the current trend. From 1988, Pavs were the market leaders in Producing and Developing 100% Gluten Free Products in Australia. Enquires from around the world indicate that ‘Pav’ was one of the few worldwide, who were making 100% Gluten Free Products, until the regulations were changed in 1997.
In 1992 John and Sandra Pavlakis decided to cease producing normal bakery goods and regulators. Every product produced by Pav is for someone with special dietary needs.
Since 1992 Pav has been slowly improving all the products while broadening the range. Using his expertise, Pav has always endeavoured to produce products that are as near to conventional as possible. Pav’s Philosophy is to ‘treat the mind and body with a quality diet'. First and foremost, food is visual and if it looks good – smells good – it will taste good.
In developing the products, ‘Pav’ is helping his customers accustom themselves to their new diet, especially the children where all their friends are eating normal food. The new range of pastries, cakes, biscuits, waffles, pies, & doughnuts not only look and taste normal, but in most cases they are the same price or cheaper. This is especially important for parents with children who have special dietary needs in organising meals for the family.
As well as a wide range of products produced daily, Pav also produces ‘special’ products for customers sent to him by various allergy clinics. John and Sandra regard their customers as friends and say this as ‘old fashioned service.’
As can be seen on this web site, our range of products available is the largest in the world and the quality is captured in the photos of all the products. All the photos taken at Custom Photos Ingleburn, are of 'PAVS' quality goods produced from his concentrates and have not been ‘enhanced / replaced in anyway.
All the products produced are from the same premixes as sold to customers. As Pav tells his customers the premixes are very simple and you are only limited by your imagination.
The Open days on Sundays when families come to the factory to sample the fresh products are the most rewarding for the Pavlakis family. Especially when you see a small child enjoying a lamington, doughnut or premium beef roll, then you suddenly realise you're there for the kids.
